“A community for all the arts … a cultural center for the new age.” It sounds like a Bauhaus centennial celebration, but it’s the closing promise for the planned CalArts school in Los Angeles, as stated in the Disney-produced short film The CalArts Story, produced as part of a fundraising effort in 1964.
